A Tall Order But One That Is Noble

Najib has unleashed his own battle cry in his quest to win the minds and hearts of all Malaysians. Hence "1 Malaysia" is his appeal to fellow Malaysians to regroup towards creating a better Malaysia in terms of racial harmony, economic strength, social integration, cultural interaction and political stability.

After the 2008 General Elections and the ensuing episodes especially on the country's political stage, this is indeed a tall order, but one that is worth pursuing.

"1 Malaysia" is a timely wake-up call for Malaysians to preserve the peace, harmony, tolerance, progress and stability which we have enjoyed for so long.

Mr.K.> The main objective of 1 Malaysia is to unite all Malaysians irrespective of race or religion. But it is not going to be easy to achieve it. There are lots of human hurdles, political hurdles, social hurdles.Name it the list grow longer. We should put aside all the differences to reach 1 Malaysia before 2020.

Oh I dont know about that. Each new Minister brings with him a new agenda. doesnt anybody ever heard of inherited agenda or do any followup from the recent agenda? what happens to the previous one when the new one takes over, gone obsolete or ignored? or is it the same thing but with a different name? Malaysian govt has got to stop confusing the people. or is that perhaps, the whole point?

krisnijan>this is no easy task.

OO>a new leader brings with him a whole new set of aspirations (or dream). his ideas might be similar in one way or another with the previous one or it might be totally different. but as a leader he would like people to see his "product" as totally his.i agree, 1malaysia is contained in vision 2020 tho in different perspective...lets see how far this one goes...:)

i hope that the concept would really help to close rank among malaysians of all races. to me, 'fairness' is still the magic word that can work wonders on many things.
